Terms for Residential Quote

1. Definitions

  • Client: The person or business requesting services from Thorne Technology.

  • Company: Thorne Technology, operating as an IT service provider in South Wales.

  • Services: The scope of work agreed upon between the Client and the Company, as outlined in the provided quote.

2. Acceptance of Quote

  • By accepting the quote provided by Thorne Technology, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

  • Any variations or additional works required will be subject to separate approval and may incur additional costs.

3. Scope of Work

  • The Services to be provided are detailed in the attached quote. Any amendments to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing.

  • Thorne Technology will undertake all work professionally and to a high standard, adhering to the agreed-upon schedule wherever possible.

4. Quotes and Validity

  • All quotes provided by Thorne Technology are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue.

  • Quotes may be revised if additional requirements are requested after the initial assessment.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms are as outlined in the provided quote.

  • For larger projects, a deposit of 30% may be required before commencement of work. The remaining balance will be due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Late payments may be subject to interest charges of 5% per month.

6. Cancellation and Postponement

  • The Client may cancel the Services up to 3 working days before the scheduled collection of hardware without penalty. Cancellations made after this time may incur charges, including any non-refundable expenses incurred by the Company.

  • If the Company is unable to provide the Services due to unforeseen circumstances, the Client will be notified as soon as possible, and any deposits paid will be refunded.

7. Liability

  • Thorne Technology will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the provision of the Services.

  • The Company will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of the Client’s equipment and data during the provision of the Services.

8. Warranties

  • Thorne Technology guarantees the quality of its work. Any defects reported within 30 days of completion will be rectified at no extra cost, provided the defect is a result of the Company’s work.

  • Any issues arising from factors beyond the Company’s control, including third-party products or services, are not covered under this warranty.

9. Confidentiality

  • Both parties agree to keep any confidential information, whether written or verbal, strictly confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through negotiation or mediation via Check A Trade before pursuing formal legal action.
